RESTYLANE is a dermal filler that has been approved by the FDA for lip augmentation and for administration into the mid-to-deep dermis to correct moderate-to-severe facial folds and wrinkles. Its crosslinked hyaluronic acid-based formulation also makes it effective in adding moisture to the skin. Dermal filler RESTYLANE contains Lidocaine to reduce any discomfort arising from treatment.
Typically used on more mature, aging skin, dermal filler RESTYLANE is indicated for the treatment of lines and wrinkles and for adding volume to restore a smoother, younger-looking countenance. It is also used to enhance and plump up lips, making them look fuller. Because of RESTYLANE’s excellent cohesivity and intermediate gel particle size, it generally stays where it is placed, and practitioners take advantage of this quality, using the dermal filler to fill in sunken areas and build up the face. It is ideal for the delicate area under the eye where obtaining a predictable outcome is paramount.
Dermal filler RESTYLANE is indicated for treating Tear Troughs, Glabellar frown lines, Smoker’s Lines, Marionette Lines, and Nasolabial Folds, and can be used to shape both the lower and upper lips. Results of treatment with dermal filler RESTYLANE can last anywhere from six months to a year or longer depending on the injection site. The effects tend to last longer in areas that move less such as under the eye than in dynamic areas such as around the mouth. Maintenance visits anywhere from five to nine months post-procedure are suggested.
Dermal filler RESTYLANE is made of non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid. Lidocaine concentration is 3mg/ml, and hyaluronic acid concentration is 20 mg/ml.. Each package contains one syringe prefilled with 1 ml of gel and accompanied by 2 x 29G1/2” needles. Dermal filler RESTYLANE is manufactured by Galderma in Europe.
